As there seems to be less and less racers on LFS servers and many of the new players are using others servers we will be running a race series for all our members and the LFS communtity. Its takes about an hour to do all the races and its for fun only.
Racing starts at 20:00 UTC on [CD] Conedodgers 1 Server with the server being set up about two hours earlier.
Which track and cars?
Well we decide that on the day and set up the server at about 18:00 UTC so those taking part can sort out sets. There will be 3 or 4 sets of cars with 2 races per car. This could be GTR, TBO, FOX and UFR or any combination so we use all cars over times, Last week we used South City Classic, 5 laps per race, starting with with UF1, then FBM, changing to the LX6 and the final races in GTR cars.
What form does the racing take?
There is qualifiying for 15 minutes starting at 19:45 UTC using the first car that is to be raced and the first race is in that order. All races after use a reverse grid so if you have a bad race you are at the front of the next one.
Its very simple, full on and organised so its race after arce after race.

The showdown race took place on 19th July with 23 drivers taking part, Points leader [CD] Snapp63 raced home but only made it for the second race. Qualifiying saw everyone trying very hard, some way to hard kicking out the chicane tyres at the wrong time. X took part with [CD] Shadwcheese taking the fastest time by 1 100th of a second from [CD] A-j with Aj hitting the tyres on the last lap which may well have taken it Race 1 was a 6 lapper and T1 set the tone for the last Showdown race winner (A-j) as he drafted Shadz and took him only to finish in the gravel Race 2 was 1 hour and this time it all went wrong in T2 with Shadz doing a powerslide (As he does) a bit to much, [CD] Integra turned to miss him and n!krfm tapped him and then Aj tapped him. Then they all had a few more taps and krfm went well off. Shadz came out on top with Arobyte came out second and krfm third. [CD] Broe was the fastest FXR (as normal). Hard luck to ABE who had a disconnect just as the flag went down. Shadz was the class of the field with snapp coming second from the back of the grid, and young Dimo getting third. Well dont to krfm for kepping going and getting 4th. Broe was fastest FXR (as i said - as normal) Points - [CD] Shadwcheese 22

GTR Skill League Showdown |

After 1755 S2 licensed drivers took part in one or more league races, doing well over 100000 laps of Aston National, the showdown race took place on the 16th April 2009.
23 racers took part in the one hour qualifying session to find their grid spot. [CD] Shadwcheese coming out as the class of the field with Lucky Luke trying over and over again to beat him and he almost did it in the last run. There were no XRR and the fastest FXR was [CD] Evren just ahead of a charging [CD] Jezebel.
After a 5 minute break the first race was ready to go. This was a short 6 lap race with a pit. It was a great race with a few mistakes. [CD] Shadwcheese won after keeping Luke at bay over the first few laps. Lucky Luke made a schoolboy error by putting is 50ltr of Fuel at his pit stop which dropped him right down the order.

Team rushed about to fit a new roof to [CD] Jezebel's car as he rolled on the last corner.
It was then onto the second race which was for 1 hour, as is normal for him at that time of day [CD] Shadwcheese was disconnected to BT and he was out. N!kfrm took the lead and kept it for most of the race with [CD] A-j taking it after kfrm's pit until he also needed to pit.
